How to PowerBuy
Do you want to learn more about how to snag a PowerBuy? Then this post is for you! Last week we talked about the best ways to find a deal on our website and today we are going to break down PowerBuys step by step to avoid any confusion. We will be going through each action you need to take to get the deal, along with screenshots for our visual learners.
First, let’s start with what a PowerBuy is. It’s a sale product that prices drops when more people buy! Once you find an item you’d like to purchase you share the deal with your social network to inspire them to buy as well. The deal easily show how many friends who need to access the lower price point and automatically does so when enough friends buy through the link.
Okay, so now that we know what it is let’s start out on the main page of our website.
Once there, scroll down to the blocks and when you see the PowerBuy block click that
The PowerBuy page may take a few seconds to load up but once it does you will be able to see all the products on offer. Also, on the left you will see a filter menu to help narrow down any particulars you are looking for. You can also edit how the deals are laid out on the pages.
One of the most important aspects of PowerBuys to remember is that there are two different kinds. The first kind of PowerBuys are Merchant Created which means the deals were made by our team and have already started their timers. (Yes! The deal is only good for so long so make sure to keep that in mind). The second kind of PowerBuys are Shopper Created which means if you don’t not see a PowerBuy already made on an item you want then you can create one. (Yes, you! Start the deal, share and once it ends you get that sale price). Don’t worry if the differences are not very clear right now, we will show what each one looks like shortly.
Alright, now you know the difference between the two deals let’s go over how to take part of each deal.
We will start with:
MERCHANT CREATED POWERBUYS
So, you should still be on the PowerBuy main page and if you click on the deal that is called, GILDED RIBBONS NECKLACE SET then you will go to this product page.
If you scroll down the page a little you will see a blue bar that says, “Buy with one friend for $8.99” and once you hover over that all the information will drop down.
Once you’ve read all the information and decided you want to take part of the deal then you can click on the “Buy with one friend for $8.99” which will pop open a new window.
Make sure to read the pop up that states these three important facts, the first one being, “YOU’RE JOINING A POWERBUY” and the second is “You aren’t charged unless the PowerBuy is successful” and the third is, “The more people who join, the more you save.” Then click next and begin to fill out the required info for shipping.
Once you’ve put in your shipping address and continue onto the next page you will be told what your shipping costs are. The proceed to the payment page once you choose your kind of shipment.
Now all that information is filled all you have to do is click Submit PowerBuy!
That’s it! You’ll get an email once the PowerBuy ends to update you about the status of your purchase. Pretty Easy, right? So much fun to share the lowest deals with your friends and family.

SHOPPER CREATE POWERBUYS
If you go back to the PowerBuy landing page and click on the deal that is called, MULTICOLOR BEADED NECKLACE AND EARRING SET, then you will go to this product page.
If you scroll down the page a little you will see a blue bar that says, “Buy with one friend for $9.00” and once you hover over that all the information will drop down.
Once you’ve read all the information and decided you want to take part of the deal then you can click on the “Buy with one friend for $9.00” which will proceed to the next page.

All set! You will get a confirmation email once the PowerBuy deal is over to update you with the status of your deal.
The two Merchant Created and Shopper Created are very similar except for the timing! Remember when you are interested in the Merchant Created PowerBuy that means the deal has started already and you gotta move fast!
